Backup tools

Create complete device backup

Reads from offset 0x0 through the detected flash size. Choose local download or controlled storage in ESP Platform.

Analyze flash layout

Reads the partition table, explains detected regions, and helps select safe reusable firmware defaults.

Create backup package

Creates manifest, checksums and an ESP Platform ZIP from a saved server backup. Restore is still disabled.

Restore backup package

Validate a saved backup or uploaded ESP Platform ZIP, then restore full flash or selected regions.

Import firmware from connected ESP32

Stage 4. Will create catalog firmware from selected non-sensitive regions after approval.

Restore backup package

Writes to ESP32 flash after validation and explicit confirmation
Dangerous operation. Restore can overwrite firmware, configuration, NVS, OTA data, credentials and persistent device state. Backups are not converted into firmware.

Flash layout

Analyze flash layout to populate this list.

Safe defaults exclude NVS, OTA data and coredump. Sensitive regions can be selected manually with warning. If the table cannot be interpreted, use Diagnostics manual read with known offset and size.
